LinkedData Detail

Highway Vehicle Detection System (VDS) error and failure data

VDS(Vehicle Detection System): Vehicle detectors are installed on the road at intervals of about 1 km to detect information such as traffic volume, occupancy rate, speed, queue length, and vehicle length in real time, and monitor traffic flow and unexpected situations. They are installed according to road environmental characteristics, and there are types such as loop type, video type, and radar type. Vehicle detection devices (VDS) installed on highway routes collect raw data every 30 seconds as point-by-point traffic information using loop detection, such as loop errors and failures at each VDS point, and detection results such as traffic volume, occupancy rate, and speed.
In accordance with Article 14 of the 「Public Data Management Guidelines」, 'Connected data' is managed by each providing institutions.
For inquiries regarding data, please refer to the department number of each institution.
