방사성폐기물 처분시설 부지주변 방사선환경보고서는 원자력안전위원회 고시에 따라 한국원자력환경공단에서 작성하고 원자력안전위원회에서 승인한 방사선환경조사계획서에 따라 처분시설 부지주변 환경의 방사선과 방사능 조사 및 평가결과를 포함하고 있음.
2024년도 방사선환경조사 조사항목은 환경방사선과 육상 및 해양 시료 24가지 종류이고 조사지점은 처분시설 부지 내외부를 포함하여 103개 지점에서 조사하였음.
조사주기는 실시간부터 주간, 월간, 반기, 연간으로 조사하며 분석핵종은 23개로 총 2440개 분석을 수행하고 평가한 결과를 종합함.
해당 보고서 작성을 위한 처분시설 부지주변 공기시료의 채취, 분석 및 육상, 해상 시료의 분석은 공단의 중저준위사업본부 환경실험실에서 수행하였으며,
조사결과의 신뢰성 제고를 위해 육상, 해양 조사지점에 대한 시료 채취 및 분석의 일부는 경북지역에 소재한 지역 대학에 위탁하여 수행하였으며
조사계획서에 따라 일부 지점에 대해서는 대학과 공단에서 동일 시료를 각각 분석하여 비교하는 방사능분석의 품질관리 활동을 수행하였음. The Radiation Environment Report for the Surroundings of a Radioactive Waste Disposal Facility Site is prepared by the Korea Radioactive Waste Agency (KORUS) in accordance with the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission (NSSC) notice and contains the results of radiation and radioactivity surveys and assessments of the surrounding environment of the disposal facility site, based on the Radiation Environment Survey Plan approved by the NSSC. The 2024 radiation environment survey covered 24 types of environmental radiation and terrestrial and marine samples, and surveys were conducted at 103 locations, including both inside and outside the disposal facility site. Survey cycles ranged from real-time to weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual. A total of 2,440 analyses and evaluations were conducted for 23 nuclides. The results were compiled. The collection and analysis of air samples around the disposal facility site for the preparation of this report, as well as the analysis of land and sea samples, were conducted at the Environmental Laboratory of the Industrial Complex's Low and Intermediate Level Radioactive Waste Management Headquarters. To enhance the reliability of the investigation results, some of the sample collection and analysis for land and sea investigation sites were entrusted to a local university in the Gyeongbuk region.
