This data is a collection of airline-related news metadata collected and analyzed using BIGKinds, a news database operated by the Korea Press Foundation. It includes various elements, including the news date, media outlet, title, integrated classification (levels 1-3), named entities (person, organization, company, region), keywords, and feature extraction values, enabling structural and quantitative analysis of individual articles. This data focuses on identifying which airlines, airports, routes, aircraft, accidents, safety, service, and management strategy issues received the most coverage and when, as well as how key keywords and reporting frames were formed and evolved. This allows us to analyze how the media portrays airlines as a key player in transportation infrastructure, an element of global industry and national competitiveness, or a subject of discussions on safety, accidents, labor, and consumer protection. It also allows us to examine the perspectives from which various contexts are reported, such as flight operations and route strategies, aircraft introduction and maintenance, aviation accidents and crisis response, aviation service quality, mergers and acquisitions and management issues, international politics, and changes in aviation demand.
