Through a total of 61,116 records, it is possible to objectively assess the student quotas and actual enrollment status (currently enrolled, on leave of absence, or deferring bachelor's degree acquisition) of individual departments within Korean universities. ■ Key Contents and Features This data includes department-level information for various higher education institutions across the country, including general universities, colleges of education, industrial universities, cyber universities, and distance learning universities. It facilitates comparative analysis by academic discipline by including the name of each department, distinction between day and evening classes, and departmental characteristics, along with the Ministry of Education's Standard Classification schema (Large, Medium, and Small Disciplines) and the universities' own discipline information. The numerical data provides student quotas by department, as well as the number of currently enrolled, students on leave of absence, and students deferring bachelor's degree acquisition, categorized by gender (male/female), and the total number of enrolled students. This allows for a multifaceted analysis of the proportion of students on leave of absence or deferment, in addition to the simple number of registered students. It also enables the analysis of the status of higher education infrastructure by establishment type (national, public, or private) and location (metropolitan area, non-metropolitan areas, and 18 cities and provinces).
