한국과 캐나다는 2017년 12월 상호인정협정(MRA) 2단계를 체결하여 국내 인증기관이 캐나다 인증서를 발급할 수 있는 시스템을 구축했고, 2019년 6월부터 시행해 중소기업 수출 비용·시간 절감 효과를 도출했다. 기존 시험성적서 인정(1단계)에서 인증 전 과정 수행(2단계)으로 확대되었으며, 전파시험인증센터 지정, 온라인 인증시스템 구축, 5건 제품의 캐나다 인증 직접 발급 등이 이뤄졌다. 향후 영국·인도네시아 등과의 MRA 확대 및 기술규정 조화를 통해 글로벌 시장 진출 촉진을 목표로 한다. Since its implementation in June 2019, this has resulted in cost and time savings for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) exporting. The scope was expanded from the recognition of test reports (Phase 1) to the performance of the entire certification process (Phase 2). Significant achievements included the designation of a radio testing and certification center, the establishment of an online certification schema, and the direct issuance of Canadian certifications for five products.
