한국노인인력개발원의 패널 데이터를 활용하여 우리나라 어르신의 활동적 노화 정도를 측정하기 위해 아시아 및 한국의 사회 문화적 맥락을 반영한 K-AAI(4개 영역, 23개 지표)를 개발하였습니다. K-AAI는 UNECE의 AAI에서 제시한 4개 영역(고용, 사회참여, 독립성·건강함·안정성, 활동적 노화를 위한 역량 및 환경)을 유지하되, 개인단위로 측정 가능한 결과 지표로 구성되어 있습니다. 패널 데이터를 토대로 활동적 노화 지수를 측정함에 따라 K-AAI는 우리나라 고령자 복지정책을 수립하고 개선 방향을 제시하는 데 필수적인 역할을 할 것으로 기대합니다. 활동적 노화 측정 체계의 기본 방향을 구성하고 설계하여 연구자들이 활용할 수 있습니다. Using panel data from the Korea Human Resources Development Institute for the Aged, we developed the K-AAI (4 domains, 23 indicators) to measure the level of active aging among older adults in Korea, reflecting the socio-cultural contexts of Asia and Korea. The K-AAI maintains the four domains (employment, social participation, independence, health, and stability, and capabilities and environment for active aging) proposed by the UNECE AAI, but is comprised of outcome indicators that can be measured at the individual level. By measuring the active aging index based on panel data, the K-AAI is expected to play a vital role in establishing welfare policies for older adults in Korea and suggesting directions for improvement.
