○ 조사 목적
- 영유아 교육, 보육 대상자의 사교육비 실태를 조사하여 사교육비 경감 및 공교육 내실화 등 교육정책 추진의 기초자료로 활용

○ 조사대상 및 규모
- (조사대상) 6세 미만 취학 전 영유아 가구 부모
- (조사규모) 13,241명(조사단위: 개인)

○ 조사방법 및 기간
- (조사방법) 조사원에 의한 면접조사, 인터넷조사 등 병행
- (조사대상기간) 2024. 7~9월(3개월)

○ 조사 내용
- (주요항목) 어린이집 및 유치원 밖에서 학습하는 개인과외, 그룹과외, 학원수강, 방문수업(학습지 등), 문화센터, 유료인터넷 및 통신강좌 등의 교육비를 예체능 및 일반과목(한글) 등으로 구분 조사
※ 가정양육의 경우 3시간 이상(반일제) 학원 이용 현황 추가 조사

○ Purpose of the Survey - To investigate the status of private education expenses for infants and toddlers and those receiving childcare, and to use it as basic data for promoting educational policies such as reducing private education expenses and improving public education ○ Survey subjects and scale - (Survey subjects) Parents of households with infants and toddlers under 6 years of age - (Survey scale) 13,241 people (Survey unit: individuals) ○ Survey method and period - (Survey method) Parallel survey by investigators through interviews, internet surveys, etc. - (Survey period) July to September 2024 (3 months) ○ Survey contents - (Main items) Survey on educational expenses such as private tutoring, group tutoring, attending academies, visiting classes (study materials, etc.), cultural centers, paid internet and correspondence courses, etc. outside of daycare centers and kindergartens, categorized into arts and physical education and general subjects (Korean) ※ In the case of home-based childcare, additional survey on the status of using academies for 3 hours or more (half-day) You can check the related press release on the Ministry of Education website.
