한국광해광업공단이 지분을 보유한 마다가스카르 암바토비(Ambatovy) 광산은 습식 제련 공정을 통해 연간 약 니켈 4.8만 톤, 코발트 4천 톤을 생산할 수 있으며, 향후 30년 이상 안정적인 생산이 가능한 대규모 니켈 광산입니다.

공단은 이를 통해 국내 핵심 광물 공급망을 안정적으로 확보하며, 미래 첨단산업의 지속 가능한 성장 기반 마련에 기여하고 있습니다.
