직원록 자료는 1908년판 대한제국 직원록, 1910년부터 1943년까지의 조선총독부 직원록, 1952년판 대한민국 직원록을 디지털화한 것이다. 대한제국과 수립 직후의 대한민국의 정부 기구의 직원에 대한 정보와 조선총독부 기구의 직원에 대한 정보를 체계적으로 제공하고 있는 데이터베이스로 해당 시기 ‘정부 기구’의 체계와 직원 현황을 손쉽게 살펴보는 도구로 크게 유용할 것이다.
2020년부터 직원록 DB의 고도화(기구명 한글/한자 변환, 원문 이미지 보기)를 진행하고 있다.
직원록 자료는 기본적으로 원자료의 내용에 준해서 DB로 구조화하였다. 자료는 인명을 중심으로 구축하였으며, 구체적으로는 직원록의 작성년도(조사시기) 및 인명별 소속·관직·관등·공훈·참고사항으로 나뉘어져 있다.
주의 : 조선총독부 직원록의 경우, 연도별로 작성원칙이 달라지는 점이 있어 그러한 원자료의 혼동이 본 DB에도 반영되어 있다. 예를 들어 `교유(敎諭)`이면서 `학교장`을 겸하고 있는 사람의 경우, 대개는 'C'관직과 'G'참고사항 항목에 각각 교유와 학교장으로 나뉘어 기록되어 있지만 그 반대의 경우도 적지 않다. 따라서 자료를 검색할 때는 'C'관직과 'G'참고사항 항목의 이러한 혼동을 유의하여야 한다.
The staff register data is a digitized version of the 1908 Korean Empire staff register, the Joseon Governor-General staff register from 1910 to 1943, and the Republic of Korea staff register from 1952. This database systematically provides information on government officials of the Korean Empire and the Republic of Korea immediately following its establishment, as well as the Joseon Governor-General staff register. It will be a valuable tool for easily examining the structure and staff status of these \government organizations\ during these periods. Since 2020, the staff register database has been upgraded (converting organization names to Korean/Chinese characters, viewing original images). The staff register data has been structured based on the original source data. The database is structured around individual names, specifically categorized by the year of compilation (survey period), and by individual affiliation, official position, rank, merits, and references. Note: The Joseon Governor-General staff register differs in its compilation principles from year to year, and this confusion in the original source data is reflected in this database. For example, in the case of a person who is both a \teacher\ and a \school principal,\ they are usually recorded separately under the \C\ title and the \G\ reference information, but the opposite is also often the case.
