The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries provides data to the Ocean Biodiversity Information System (OBIS) and the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) to share marine biodiversity information collected and managed domestically internationally. This allows researchers and policymakers around the world to access occurrence records, taxonomic information, and location data on diverse marine species collected in Korean waters, facilitating international research and collaboration.
