This data was developed to analyze heat wave risk by utilizing public environmental and social data, such as heat distribution maps, demographics of vulnerable populations, and medical facility information. The goal is to prioritize support areas and identify additional locations for heat shelters. Climate crises such as heat waves and flooding pose a significant threat to vulnerable populations, including seniors living alone and low-income households. Heat waves, in particular, cause the greatest number of casualties among natural disasters, including typhoons, torrential downpours, and earthquakes, necessitating a more coordinated response.
