본 연구는 정보통신 관련 표준을 제정하는 세계 최대 규모의 국제표준화기구인 국제전기통신연합(ITU)의 전파통신총회(RA-23)에서 2023년 한 해 동안 추진되었던 주요 기술적 이슈 및 동향을 조사함으로써 국내 대응 방향 수립 등에 활용하고, ITU 내 국제의장단 진출 등 우리나라의 위상 강화와 국제표준화 경쟁력 제고를 위해 효과적 국내대응을 목표로 진행되었다.

이에 한국 ITU 연구위원회 운영 및 전파통신총회(RA-23)의 기고서 및 국제표준특허 등의 대응 관련 연구 결과 보고서를 발간하였다. This study investigated the major technical issues and trends promoted during 2023 at the Radiocommunication Assembly (RA-23) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the world's largest international standardization organization that establishes information and communication-related standards, and utilized them to establish domestic response directions, and aimed at effective domestic responses to strengthen Korea's status and enhance international standardization competitiveness, such as advancement to the international chair group within ITU.
