「독도 생태계 정밀조사 보고서」는 독도의 생태적 특성과 변화를 주기적으로 진단하여 효율적인 관리 및 보전대책을 마련하기 위한 기초자료로 활용됩니다.
환경부의 ‘특정도서보전기본계획(2015~2024)’에 따라 5년 주기로 수행되며,

2015년 4월부터 2016년 4월까지는 4계절에 걸쳐 식물 62종, 조류 70종, 곤충 35종, 해양무척추동물 191종, 해조류 230종 등 총 594종이 확인되었습니다.
이후 2020년 4월부터 2021년 1월까지 3계절 조사를 통해 식물 60종, 조류 63종, 포유류 1종, 곤충 38종, 해양무척추동물 118종, 해조류 118종 등 총 404종이 관찰되었습니다.

본 조사는 지형·경관·지질, 식생, 식물상, 포유류, 조류, 곤충, 균류, 해조류, 해안무척추동물 등 9개 분야의 전문가가 참여하는 종합 현장조사 방식으로 이루어지며, 향후 특정도서 생태계 보전정책의 수립과 생물다양성 모니터링에 활용됩니다. It is carried out every five years according to the Ministry of Environment's 'Basic Plan for Preservation of Specific Islands (2015-2024)'.

From April 2015 to April 2016, a total of 594 species were identified across four seasons, including 62 plant species, 70 bird species, 35 insect species, 191 marine invertebrate species, and 230 seaweed species.
From April 2020 to January 2021, a three-season survey was conducted, and a total of 404 species were observed, including 60 plant species, 63 bird species, 1 mammal species, 38 insect species, 118 marine invertebrate species, and 118 seaweed species.

This survey will be conducted as a comprehensive field survey with the participation of experts in nine fields, including topography, landscape, geology, vegetation, flora, mammals, birds, insects, fungi, seaweed, and coastal invertebrates.
