한국기후표는 북한을 포함한 우리나라 기상청 산하 73개 관측 지점의 지난 30년간의 지상 기상 평년값 이 관측지점별, 일별, 순별, 월별, 계절별로 수록되었으며, 연평년값과 계절값이 포함되어 있습니다.
세계기상기구(WMO)는 전 세계 기후를 표준화된 방법으로 분석하기 위해 10년마다 30년간의 기후평년값을 산출하도록 권고하고 있으며, 기상청도 1962년에 최초로 기후평년값(1931-1960년)을 산출한 이래로 10년마다 기후평년값을 새롭게 산출하여 기후표로 발간해 오고 있습니다.
한국기후표(1991-2020년)는 기존보다 다양한 정보를 수록하여 그 활용가치를 높이고자 합니다. 기존에 제공되던 73개 지점보다 3배 더 많은 219개 지점의 평년값을 수록하여 더 촘촘한 기후정보를 제공합니다. The Korea Climate Table contains surface meteorological averages for the past 30 years from 73 observation stations under the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), including those in North Korea, organized by observation station, daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal data. It includes annual and seasonal averages. The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) recommends calculating 30-year climate averages every 10 years to standardize global climate analysis. Since the KMA first calculated climate averages (1931-1960) in 1962, it has been calculating and publishing climate averages every 10 years. The Korea Climate Table (1991-2020) aims to enhance its usability by including a wider range of information.
